Many LDS women have inherited an understanding of sexuality, desire, and spirituality that encourages self-doubt and undermines sexual development.

The Art of Desire Retreat will challenge these false traditions and offer you a new, life-expanding understanding of desire as well as its relationship to self-confidence and your ability to be at peace with your (God-given) sexuality.

In addition to exceptional instruction, you will enjoy delicious gourmet meals, rejuvenating exercise and meditation options, beautiful grounds for walking and reflecting, evening discussions with Jennifer and other participants, plus a fun-filled movie night!

This four-day transformative retreat is an opportunity you will never forget and do not want to miss!

I love how she doesn't sensationalize her presentation and she took time to answer all of our questions. She's brilliant and I'm so grateful for her work in bringing female sexuality out of obscurity."

We have received feedback that connecting with other participants is one of the most beneficial parts of the retreat. We encourage you to share accommodations with other participants when possible. Many participants use to find a large space that accommodates a larger group.  When you purchase your ticket, you will be added to our event WhatsApp where you can coordinate with other attendees to share lodging and transportation (if desired).

Each day yoga and Zumba classes will be available, with options in the morning and afternoon.  You can also walk the beautiful grounds for relaxation and meditation.

Our caterer is phenomenal and will provide us with exceptional and nutritious meals throughout the retreat.

Your $100 deposit is non-refundable. Final payments are due on June 25th and are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend but find another person interested in your ticket, your ticket can be transferred to them by contacting our office.

Please contact our office with the subject "Oregon Retreat Dietary Restrictions" and tell us your needs. We will try to accommodate you as best as we can.

Once the event is underway, we will create a WhatsAPP thread for attendees and send that information to ticket purchasers.

Please contact our office with the subject "Oregon Retreat Exercise Instruction" and tell us what you teach. We will make a decision if it is the right fit and get back to you with instructions and compensation options if it is a good fit.

The $100 deposit is non-refundable, the ticket balance of $1195 is refundable up until June 25, 2024.

You'll want to pack clothing that is comfortable and able to layer (i.e., sweaters or sweatshirts for the evenings).  Be sure to bring exercise clothes if you want to participate in the daily exercise classes as well as a yoga mat, if possible! A water bottle is also a good idea to reduce the use of plastic cups.  Please also bring a journal or notebook for self-reflective writing that you will use in addition to your retreat workbook.  If you have additional specific questions, please email Kristi, our event coordinator.

Reviews From Retreat Participants

  • "I am still reeling a little from the retreat, and in a good way. ...The way I view just about everything has shifted. I'm still just fizzing with new ways of seeing things, and new information about my life and my purpose. I can't describe it very well, but it's a feeling I have not had in a very long time. And it's exciting and empowering and motivating, and I LOVE it.”

    — J. S., Art of Desire Retreat Participant
  • It is difficult to put into words what a life-changing experience last weekend was.  ... To be fortunate enough to be in that headspace for that amount of time will be an experience I will look back on and recount as a personal turning point. To say “thank you” for your work seems completely insufficient....

    — H.S., Art of Desire Attendee
  • "I had an amazing weekend... I came with my sister and best friend. It was really helpful for us to hash through all the material together during each meal and break. I want every woman to take the time to do this workshop."

    — M. M., Art of Desire Retreat Participant

  • "Thank you so much for your time and for your work--I appreciate it so much.  My mom came (on my recommendation) to your Art of Desire Retreat in Alpine last fall, and my dad told me several weeks later that he felt like he was living with a different person.  Her transformation and new ability to discern what she wants in any area of life, and then to express that desire, has been ASTOUNDING to watch."

  • "Holy wow. I attended the recent retreat for women in Oregon and needed to express my gratitude. Honestly, I went expecting to pick up a few tips on strengthening my marriage and getting over my body image issues. What I came home with was this profound internal shift that is impacting EVERY aspect of my life. I feel like for the first time I know what it means to be grounded, to be truly at peace in my own skin."

  • It was an incredible workshop! And such a privilege to see Dr. Finalyson-Fife in person. She has played a pivotal role in our emotional, spiritual and sexual development and I am hoping to thank her.

Even though I listen to every podcast, video and subscribe to her new podcast [Room For Two], I still gained so much from the [Art of Desire] workshop.  I saw more of my walls and guards that are still up to manage [my husband's] sexuality.  I felt deep grief for the ways I had not chosen my husband and also for rejecting the gift he has been trying to give me.  I had many "ahas" that are difficult to put into words but are another step in our marriage journey.  ...  We are learning to choose each other and have Dr. Finlayson-Fife to thank for saving our marriage.  ...  I try to share her work with everyone.  I am truly thankful to her for her moral courage and am growing my courage every day.

I appreciate the work Dr. Finlayson-Fife has done to create an honest, inspiring, growth-based frame to grow our sexuality in marriages as well as growing ourselves.  Thank you to the host and Makenzie and JFF's mother (who was such a delight.) Again, thank you!
