Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife | I am a licensed psychotherapist with a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. I wrote my dissertation on LDS women and sexuality, have taught college-level courses on human sexuality, and currently teach online and community-based relationship and sexuality courses to LDS couples. I am a frequent contributor on the subjects of sexuality, mental health and spirituality to LDS-themed blogs, magazines, and podcasts. I maintain a private practice in Chicago where I live with my husband and three children. I am an active member of the LDS church.
2002: Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, Boston College. Included year-long supervised internships at Stoney Brook Counseling Center, Massachusetts General Hospital's Boston Evening Medical Center, and the University of Maine College Counseling Center.
1995: Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, Boston College. Included a supervised practicum, completed at Wheaton College Guidance Services in Norton, Massachusetts.
In the course of her doctoral study, Dr. Finlayson-Fife focused her training on marriage and family relationships and wrote her dissertation on the topic of LDS women and sexual agency. Dr. Finlayson-Fife has twelve years of clinical experience.
